How the ranking works

Each game’s weighted score starts with 10 “virtual” ratings at the site average (4.0). Real ratings gradually take over as they accumulate. This is the Bayesian average:

score = (v / (v + m)) × R + (m / (v + m)) × C

  • R is the game’s average rating and v is its number of published ratings.
  • C is the site average and m is the prior weight of 10.
  • Games with no published ratings, or that are unavailable on Roblox, are excluded.
